R&G KTM 690 SMC | Enduro Tail Tidy

I fitted this tail tidy to my 2008 690 Enduro - which has grab rails - this is important because this product DOES NOT INCLUDE the SPACERS necessary to remount the rear fender and grab rails once the old tail unit is removed (I had to have these made). In addition, having to SHORTEN BOLTS on the light as per the instructions was inconvenient (I had to go out and buy a hack saw), the included ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS were the WRONG kind (I had to buy new ones), and the LIGHT SNAPPED off one of it's mounting bolts first time down a bumpy trail!

an absolute work of art ! full,easy to follow instructions..may seem a lot of cash for such a small piece but is worth every penny for a virtually bespoke 1off piece. trebles the amount of fluid capicity in the reservoir .. so when coupled to the aftermarket slave unit of your choice it combines to make the perfect set up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and big thanks to KTM TWINS for shipping it to me so quick here in UK great service at all times

This is a good product. It's made of metal, there's a color choice, it's easy to install, and it 'might' save you from being stuck somewhere with a hole in your radiator...In that light, it looks really good. However, the price of $99.99 is WAY too expensive for this metal screen that attaches with zip-ties. For that price, they should have been able to come up with a more secure mounting system...It's convenient, but certainly doesn't seem very secure. Oh well, I guess insurance is expensive.
Puig KTM RC8/RC8R Windscreen

This is a very high quality windscreen! Fits great and feels solid. It also stands taller than the KTM double bubble windscreen, witch feels thin and cheap. Puig is the best windscreen for the RC8! And it's $30 dollars less.
